He is survived by wife, Ethel Burkett of Trussville, Alabama. Cary was a loving man who served his country and his church. Prior to his illness he devoted a lot of his time preaching the gospel and winning souls to the lord. He loved to go fishing, camping and his dogs, Rosco and J.J. And most of all he loved family gatherings and playing with the great grand kids. Cary had a sense of humor to rival any professional comedian. He loved to joke (insert your fave joke here) When he laughed, the world got a little brighter. Cary loved his family. More than that, he loved everyone. Always forgiving readily and offering his help to all who needed it. As mortal men go, he was a paragon of God's love. He was grace personified. Not living to serve only himself, Cary believed that love is not love til we give it away. And he exemplified this every day. Always willing to pray with anyone at a moment's notice. Always there to support others. Cary was a fine person who made this world a more loving place by his interaction with thers. All who knew him count themselves blessed. His room in Heaven must be glorious. Well done, Cary. Your legacy is love.
