Louise "Lou" Miller Thorne

Louise “Lou” Miller Thorne, age 82, of Phenix City, Alabama, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama passed from death to life on Saturday, November 16, 2019. She was an active member of McElwain Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a realtor emeritus with the Birmingham Board of Realtors serving over 30 years as contributing broker and /or owner for various real estate companies. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carson and Ida Miller and 13 siblings. Lou is survived by her son, Rev. Rickey Thorne (Sarah); four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren that she adored and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jody Baker and Rev. Rickey Thorne will be officiating.
