Lee Endicott
February 1, 1952 - October 29, 2021
Those who knew and loved Lee Endicott of Morganton, Georgia are celebrating his arrival into heaven and the welcoming arms of his Lord and Savior on October 29, 2021. Lee was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 1, 1952 to his late parents, Elaine Cole Endicott and Harold Lee Endicott. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 20 years, Donna Hughes Endicott. Lee was a master grill and smoker chef who loved to feed his friends and family, and they in turn loved to be at his table. He was also an excellent photographer who loved God's creations. From his home in the North Georgia mountains his subjects were vast, from birds and squirrels to raccoons, foxes, and deer. He and Donna had found one of the most idyllic spots on earth for their last years together, and Lee enjoyed assisting Donna with all of her beautiful gardening projects, turning their home into a beautiful, welcoming showplace. Lee had a servant's heart, and when it came to serving his church and community and other worthy causes, he was always one of the first to volunteer. Both he and Donna loved participating in the Operation Christmas Child project of Samaritan's Purse. For many years they loved shopping for children's gifts and then traveling to several states to "fill shoeboxes." Lee leaves behind his wife Donna, whom he called the "Love of His Life," two beloved dogs, and a bunch of friends who will be forever grateful that their paths crossed with his. A private family graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, Alabama on November 2. In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to make a memorial gift in Lee's honor may do so to Samaritan's Purse.
