Pius “Joe” Walter, age 81, of Pell City, Alabama eased into eternity on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. He was born in North Dakota but was as he said, “Southern by the grace of God”. Joe was married to Linda Walls Walter who passed in March of 2018. He is survived by sisters Del, Bea and Joline. His deceased siblings are, Lea Kale, Leroy, Tony, Glenn, and Jack. His living children, Susan, Tom, Cindy and Beth; Stepchildren Chris and Mike; Many grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama at 2pm. Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home officiating with a military honor guard.
