Jonathan Chadwick Baldwin, Sr.

Jonathan “Chad” Baldwin, 44, entered his eternal resting place with Jesus on June 1st, 2024. He was born on April 27th, 1980 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Andrew Baldwin Sr.; his brother Charlie Baldwin; and his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. He is survived by his wife Lindsay; Son, Jonathan Baldwin (Sammie); Mother, Jo Ann Baldwin; Mother-in-law; Debbie Sizemore; Brothers, Andy Martin (Jennifer) and Chris Baldwin; Sister, Monica Waldrop (Jacob); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and close friends; and his dog Kai. Chad loved the Lord with all his heart. He had a heart for people and always wanted everyone around him to know they were valued. No matter where he was in life, he had the ability to captivate the hearts of those around him with his authentic love and playful personality. The best way to describe Chad is that he was a friend to the friendless and father to the fatherless. Despite unending health problems, he never lost the joy that made him such an incredible person. Chad loved his wife, Lindsay, with a passion and intentionality that radiated. He never let a day go by without making her feel special and cared for. She was his person and he made sure everyone knew just how lucky he was. His absolute pride and joy was his son, Jonathan. He would light up any time he spoke about Jonathan. He found every opportunity to express how proud he was of him. He always felt Jonathan was the best part of him and loved him deeply. Chad made friends wherever he went, whether it be at church, daily life, or at work. He explored multiple careers. His first passion was sales. He loved meeting new people and taking care of them. Later in life he found great joy in the restaurant business. His newfound joy was being a manager at McDonald’s. He loved being able to go to work everyday and made sure he did his best. Chad will be deeply missed on this Earth by so many, but there is great comfort in knowing that he is now completely healed in Jesus’s loving arms. His earthly life had an unexpected ending, but his story will continue to touch the lives of many.
