David M. Boone

June 21, 1946 - January 8, 2020

David M. Boone, age 73, of Birmingham, Al. passed away on January 8, 2020. He was a charter member of NorthPark Baptist Church. David was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He will be truly remembered for his dedication to his church family, and most of all to his family and friends. He was a rare man that would help anyone in need and was always there with an encouraging word. David never faltered in his faith and the love he carried for everyone who surrounded him. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Jimmy Fay Boone; a sister, Connie Haun and his brother, Gene Boone. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 49 years, Sherry Boone; his son, Bryan Boone (Judith); his daughter, Brandi Colvin (Matthew); one brother, Fred Boone (Katherine); his grandchildren, Anderson Sloan, Tucker Boone and Braylen Boone; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 12:30 pm until 2 pm at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Dr. Bill Wilks and Bro. Fred Boone officiating.
