Clifford Thomas Hart, beloved son, brother and uncle, shed his earthly body and entered eternity on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the age of 47. Cliff was born August 21,1974 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Ed and Ginny Hart. Cliff suffered brain damage in birth and was immediately embraced by the loving members of First Baptist Church Pompano where his family attended church. When Cliff was two his family enrolled him in the Doman Delacato Patterning program and for two years a host of church and community members came weekly to provide him with intensive physical therapy. In 1978 the family moved to Birmingham, Alabama and Cliff participated in early intervention programs offered by UAB’s Center for Developmental and Learning Disabilities and United Cerebral Palsy. Once he reached school age, Cliff attended the Hoover City Schools multiple handicapped program, where he was surrounded by dedicated and skilled teachers and therapists. After graduating from Hoover City Schools at age 21, Cliff participated in the Jefferson County ARC programs. Cliff loved being around people and enjoyed attending Sunday School and church, outings in the community and family holidays and celebrations. Despite his disabilities, Cliff impacted the lives of those who knew him, and his sweet personality and ready smile endeared him to many. Cliff is preceded in death by his father, Ed Hart, and his youngest sister, Sarah Hart. He is survived by his mother, Ginny Hart, his brothers Ed (Laree) Hart and Jim (Ariana) Hart, his sister Debbie (David) Wilbourn, nieces Liz Hart, Harper Wilbourn, Avery Wilbourn, and nephews Jon Hart, David Hart, Richard Hart, Sterling Hart, Emerson Hart and Campbell Hart. In appreciation for the nurses, doctors and therapists at Spain Rehabilitation Center, in lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Twelve to One fundraising partner of Spain Rehabilitation Center (12to1.com or Twelve to One, c/o J. M. Lewis, 3534 Blue Jay Road, Birmingham, Al 35243) The family will receive friends from 1:00 -2:00 on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
