Billy R. Quick

October 1, 1933 - February 7, 2022

Billy Ray “Bill” Quick, 88, passed into the presence of his Jesus, Monday, February 7, 2022. His family that has gone before him, is the love of his life, Margie Quick (January 21, 2022), his parents Earney and Una Quick, his precious baby girl Delinda, and his brother Bobby Joe Quick, Sr. Bill is survived by his daughters, Marcia Sullivan (Lynn) and Cindy Baxter (Danny). Grandchildren, Scott Sullivan (Jessica), Stacey Hill (Justin), Brittney Horne (Clint), and Bradey Baxter. Great Grandchildren, Claire, Jaxon, Tess, Ethan, Keegan, Presley, Hadley, Olivia Bryan, and Maverick. Great Grandson, Truett. Bill’s life was devoted to his Lord, his family, and his country. He was a member of Gardendale First Baptist, but was a faithful Deacon and member of Plainview Baptist, in Tarrant, for many years. He was a life member and 50 year pin holder of Dolcito Lodge 596, Tarrant and member of the Chevrolet Legion of Leaders Honor Club. He was a Korean War Veteran, proudly serving his country in the United States Army 11th Airborne Division, achieving Staff Sergeant, and Jumpmaster status, of the 1st Airborne Battalion Group, 187th Infantry American Land Forces, Middle East -Lebanon, all while achieving expert with carbine and sharpshooter with rifle badges. Celebration of Life, Deerfoot Funeral Home in Trussville, Friday, February 11, 2022. Visitation with the family preceding the service at 10:00AM followed by the Celebration of Life at 11:00AM. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of Bibles to spread God’s Word, through Gideon’s International, at Gideons.org, or mail in: PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN, 37214, or by calling 615.564.5000. A special “Thank You”, to the loving staff of SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice. For the past two years, they have cared for Pop, and more recently cared for Nan, in her final days. Many have become family, and we are forever grateful for their love and compassion.
