Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Avis Gambill went to be with the Lord, with her family by her side on May 5 2022 at the age of 87. She was born in Morgan County Kentucky on December 1 1934. She is proceeded in death by Her mother Ada Oneal, Father Sam Oneal, husband Manuel Wethington, sister Christine Robinson, sister Dora Kelley, brother Gene Oneal, brother Linvell Oneal and grandson Bobby Sargent. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Pamela Jefferson, brother Robert Oneal, her daughters Maggie (John) Cooper, Connie Evans, Marie (Donnie) Hurst, her sons Ricky (Susan) Gambill and Hobert Gambill. Grandchildren Billy Harney, Kent (Ashley) Harney Jr, Jason (Ann) Harney, Erica (Robert) Spivey , Jeffrey Pannell, Samuel Evans, Dwayne (Theresa) Denton, Bobby(Mallory) Denton, Mathew (Chelsea) Denton, Colby (Madison) Denton, Casey Gambill, Jimmy (Brandi) Gambill, 28 beautiful great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Avis was a devout mother she lived for her family. She was loving, comforting, spunky and outspoken. Even though Avis was 87 she had the vibrance of a woman half her age. She loved to spend time with her daughters and granddaughters shopping, and getting her hair and nails done. She loved to grab a cup of coffee and sit and reminisce and talk about her childhood and life. She also loved a good cookout with her sons and grandsons. Her absolute favorite thing was family time and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She will be sorely missed but we all rest easy knowing we will see her again. Isaiah 66:13 As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you. A memorial service will be held Tuesday May 10,2022 at 10:00am at Deerfoot Memorial.
