Sue Mitchell Parham

Sue Mitchell Parham, age 87, of Trussville, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 4, 2020. She was born in Duncan, Mississippi on August 21, 1933. She was one of six children that were raised by Earl and Ruby Mitchell. They were taught to value faith, family and fun. The Mitchell’s excelled at all three. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, James West Parham. She was also predeceased by her sister, Lillian Mitchell Bradley and brother, Joe Mitchell. She is survived by her brother Bob Mitchell and sisters, Frances Aiken and Dottie Reed (Joe Wayne). James and Sue Parham leave behind a large family. Three children, Mickey Parham (Becky), Diane Barron and Glenn Parham. Six grandchildren, Kay Parham Alexander (John), Lisa Parham Lee (Brian), Beth Parham Lepore (Joey) Beau Barron (Katy), David Parham (Andrea) and Elizabeth Barron Westman (Coulter). She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren (and counting). She would want to recognize her niece, friend and beach buddy, Sally Weeks. Thank you for loving us so well and showing us the love of Jesus. You are my amazing, one of a kind grandmother.” “Those that knew her, loved her. Her laugh and joy were contagious. Heaven got a little brighter.” “Grandmother left a legacy of prayer, love and weirdness that I am so thankful for.” “Days at grandmother’s house were filled with fairies, elves and anything else that her imagination would dream up. This made for an amazing childhood and hilarious memories.” “My grandmother always had a costume or a funny game or a hilarious story and a mischievous twinkle!
