Mrs. Carl Annette Huffstutler

Carl Annette Huffstutler, of Birmingham, Alabama was 89 at the time of her death. She passed Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 5:07 am. Carl Annette was born March 10, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi to Ella Delphia and Joe Leon Dickerson. She had three sisters, Mary, Juanita, and Mae, and two brothers, Joe and Edward. She attended Rankin Elementary and graduated from Milam High School Class of 1953. She moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 1954 and went to work at Southeast Terminal. She married Milton C Huffstutler, June 23, 1956 at her mother’s home in Tupelo, Mississippi. They had four children together, Carlton, David, Lisa, and Joseph. In October 1978, she went to work at First Baptist Church Center Point as a teacher and would retire in 1997 as the Assistant Director. Carl Annette was also a member of First Baptist Church Center Point where she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, Sunbeams leader, GA teacher, and nursery worker. She was a born again Christian and loved the Lord. She also enjoyed bird watching, yard work, watching Atlanta Braves baseball, Auburn Tiger football, and bowling. She was known as Grandma to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, all of whom she delighted in babysitting and loved fiercely. To know her was to love her. She devoted herself to Christ, her husband, and her children. She is survived by sons, William Carlton (Kimberly), Charles David (Rebecca), Joseph Howard, and daughter, Lisa Ann. She has eight grandchildren Dustin, Lauren, Amy, Heather, Suzi, Dayle, Luke, and Henry. She has, to date, eleven great grandchildren Elizabeth, Madison, Katharine, Anthony, Reese, Carson, Michael, Colin, William, David, Wesley, and Cillian. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton C Huffstutler August 31, 2010, stepsons Milton C. Huffstutler, Jr March 1969, and Michael E Huffstutler January 1995, siblings Mary Mercer, Joe Dickerson, Edward Dickerson, Juanita Phillips, and Mae Stanley. Her service will be Friday, August 23, 2024 at 2pm at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home, 5360 Deerfoot Parkway, Trussville, Alabama. Visitation with family will begin at 1pm prior to service.
