Henry Lee Baldwin

Henry Lee Baldwin, 53, of Springville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of June 4, 2023. Henry was Born on November 25, 1969, in Atlanta, Georgia, but his family moved to Elba, Alabama a short time later. After high school, Henry moved to Springville and that is the place he has called home for the past 34 years. Henry is preceded in death by his mom (Susie Baldwin), dad (John Henry Baldwin), brother (Billy Wayne Baldwin), and mother-in-law (Jo Ann Pearson). He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lynetta, sons Pearson and Nathan, brother James (Stacey), sister Linda Smith (Donald), brother-in-law Ross Pearson (Tara), sister-in-law Jill Pearson, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Henry was a dedicated husband and father. He met his soulmate, Lynetta, and they were married in September 1994. They created a beautiful life together and were blessed when their sons, Pearson and Nathan, were born. Henry beamed with pride when he talked about his sons and the joy that they brought him. He loved attending their sporting events, hearing about fishing stories, and talking about classic rock music. From the time his sons were born, Henry’s life was dedicated to raising them to be strong and faithful men. Henry was a hard worker and instilled that same quality in his sons. He was determined to start his own business and that dream came true when he started B & H Siding, Inc. Henry loved his company and the opportunity to meet different people. He took great pride in his work. Henry built a lot of relationships over the years through work, church, sports, and meals at the Springville Cafe. He was always willing to lift a helping hand and never asked for anything in return. He truly had a servant's heart. Henry was by far one of the biggest Alabama football fans around. He enjoyed going to the games, watching the games, and knowing about each player and the history of the program. He made sure to pass that same love and passion to his boys. Some people would tease him and ask if he owned any other shirts because he always wore a Bama shirt. His favorite NFL team was the Oakland Raiders. Henry also loved classic cars. He was so proud when he was able to purchase a 1969 Firebird convertible and restore it. He loved it and enjoyed taking the boys for a ride or driving it in the homecoming and Christmas parades. Henry was humble and kind. Even when faced with multiple health challenges over the last 18 years, he never complained or asked why he had to go through them. He faced the challenges head-on with faith and determination. His family was his reason for living. Henry impacted so many lives with his unwavering will to keep going. While his years here on earth were shorter than any of us would have liked, he lived them to the fullest. Henry is healed and rejoicing in heaven. He leaves a void in the lives of those around him, but his legacy will live on through his sons. Funeral services will take place at Deerfoot Memorial on Thursday, June 8th at 1:00 pm, with visitation starting at 11:00 am.
