Glenda Louise Reeves

Glenda Hawkins Reeves, 77, of Kimberly Alabama, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 31, 2025. She was a member of the Grand Old Gospel House in Fultondale. Glenda (Nana) truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. She had a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her joy came from having all her family gathered around her. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with family am friends. She loved her Church and Church family and enjoyed playing the piano for man years as the pianist. She loved road trips and especially the beach. Glenda loved people she took in many people to help them whether it would be to get them back on their feet, them shelter or help them recover. Her compassion and love was the true heart of God a what he calls us to do. Our mother loved God and her love for him showed in everything did. Her Celebration of life will be as follows: Visitation will be held at Deerfoot Memorial on April 4 at 12:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Deerfoot Memorial on April 4 at 2:00pm with Reverend William (Bro. Bill) Davison of Grand Old Gospel House reading of obituary Eulogy: Stacey Reeves -Coat Baptist Church Reverend William Davison III of Westside Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers: Jeremiah Srofe, Seth Srofe, Tim Reeves, Matthew Reeves, Zach Reeves, Dylan Reeves, Jordan Reeves Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial. Deerfoot Memorial are handling the funeral arrangements. Glenda was born in Cleveland, Alabama to Claude and Audrey Hawkins on November 16, 1947. She enjoyed cooking, family, playing the piano, gardening and truly loved the Lord. Her happiest times were having her kids, grandkids and great grandkids around. The louder the better! Glenda is preceded in death by her Husband, Hilton Reeves, her father, Claude Hawkins, her mother, Audrey Hawkins, her brother, Danny Hawkins and her sister, Sue Camp, her granddaughter Skylar Reeves, grandson, Wesley Reeves and grandson Tristan Stubbs. Glenda is survived by her brother, Lamar Hawkins of Birmingham, brother Tommy Hawkins of Moody, sister Annette Weaver of Kimberly, daughter Anita Boothe (husband) Steve Boothe of Trussville, son Stacey Reeves (wife) Lynn Reeves of Collins, Mississippi, son Kevin Reeves (wife) Becca of Springville, daughter Danita Stubbs (husband) Jackie of, Kimberly, 15 Grandchildren and 22 great Grandchildren.
