Debra King Cole

Debra King Cole age 64 of Argo, Alabama, won her battle with ALS by receiving her eternal healing on August 3, 2020. She was surrounded by family in the comforts of her home. Debbie loved family. Every holiday and birthday, you would find her elaborately decorating her home and setting a scrumptious table just for them. Celebrations were a given. Families come with much brokenness and no matter the road the ones she loved journeyed down, she always welcomed them home. She longed to protect and heal. She prayed. She did not give up. She was stubborn, organized, and gave orders until the very end. We were amazed she could still boss with no voice. She was an extremely hard worker with a determined personality that helped her fight through adversity and win. Owning her own business for many years was difficult at times, but she discovered Secret Treasures was a ministry to help the hurting and encourage the disheartened. Raising twin girls was also hard on Debbie and they walked through many valleys, but there was always love, sometimes visible, sometimes hidden. God healed one relationship on earth and one in heaven. Nicki is forever with her mom in heaven and Shannon made peace with her mom as she became her around the clock caregiver. Debbie loved her husband, Chris who shared her twisted sense of humor to everyone else’s peril. They believed in each other and lived the commitment “Until death do us part.” Debra Cole was born on February 7, 1956, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. She was a member of The Gathering Church where she grew in her faith and served devotedly with her beloved friend and pastor, Beverly Henley. She was preceded in death by her father, Darwin H. King, her mother, Ada J. King, her sister, Diane Casper, and her daughter, Nichole Stinson Mills. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Cole, daughter, Shannon Marie Stanton, brothers, Charlie Mothershed (Rosemary) and William King, grandchildren, Zachary Tramell and Ella Mills, great grandchild, Alec Tramell, nephews, Jason Cuccuini (Kristy), Mark Cuccuini (Cynthia), Stephen Cuccuini (Joy), and other beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family. Memorial service to be held at Clearbranch United Methodist Church 8051 Glenn Road Trussville, Al 35173 Friday August 7, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Reverend Beverly Henley officiating
