Connie Miller

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Ann Miller, age 75, of Trussville, Alabama, who passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Connie was a woman of incredible warmth, strength, and compassion. Born and raised in Birmingham, she carried the spirit of her hometown with her everywhere she went — proud, kindhearted, and always ready to lend a helping hand. Her laughter, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Above all, Connie loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her with grace, kindness, and humility. She lived as a shining example of Christian love, sharing her faith through her actions and her gentle spirit. Connie’s love for her family was boundless. Her husband, son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to them. Known affectionately as “Grammy,” she was the heart of her family — always ready with a warm hug, a kind word, and endless love. To those who knew her best, she was the most loving grandmother, mother, wife, and friend anyone could ever hope for. Her home was filled with laughter, warmth, and the comforting feeling that you were truly loved. Throughout her 75 years, Connie found joy in life’s simple moments — sharing stories around the kitchen table, spending time with her family, and offering comfort and encouragement to those in need. She had a special gift for making people feel loved and valued, and her presence could brighten even the darkest of days. Connie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ralph and Mary Carpenter, her brother George Carpenter, and his wife Marguerite. She is survived by her devoted husband, Glenn Miller; her loving son, Greg Miller (Shannon); her cherished grandchildren, Makenzie Miller, Reese Miller, and Ashley Mayo; her adored great-grandchildren, Brooks, Baylor, and Baylee Kate Mayo; her dear brothers, Robert Carpenter (Myrna) and Richard Carpenter; and a multitude of nieces and nephews who loved her deeply. Connie was also blessed with some of the best friends and church family in the entire world, and her life would not have been the same without them. The love, prayers, and support they shared meant so much to her. The family would like to extend a special thank you to every friend who spent time with her each week. Whether it was a lunch date, a front porch “sing-along,” or a day of shopping, you all brought so much joy to her over the last few years — and as Grammy would have said, “You light up my life,” each of you truly did. A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 PM at North Clay Baptist Church, 7476 Clayton Rd, Pinson, AL 35126, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a truly remarkable woman. Though she may be gone from our sight, Connie Ann Miller will forever remain in our hearts, and we find comfort knowing she is now in the loving arms of her Savior.
