Connie P. Sims Linneman

Connie Page Sims Linneman- Born March 21, 1970 and went to be with her heavenly family on January 9, 2023. Connie was born to James Connie Sims and Sue Sims in Birmingham, Alabama the third of their four children. She was greeted in heaven by her husband Tom Linneman, mothers Sue Sims and Lynda Young Sims, Grandfather, Grandmothers, Billie Jean Horton Anderson and Mildred Franklin, sister-in-law Maryann Sims and great nephew Jimmielee Duane Young. She is survived by her greatest love, her daughter Katie Sue Linneman, her father, James Connie Sims/ Suellen Wilkins, Brother Daniel Sims and her bonus sister Allison Sims, Sister April McCarl and extra brother Fred McCarl, her baby sister Emily Stilwell, Jim and Eileen Linneman, Doug and Debbie Linneman, John and Christine Linneman, George Linneman, Kristen and Chuck Zelenka, Mike and Cami Young, Casey and Roby Wagner. Nieces and Nephews Stephen Young, Jamie and Maia McCarl, Sabrina and Daniel Jones, David and Katie McCarl, Noah McCarl, Paul McCarl, James Bradley and Bonnie Sue Sims, Donovan Miller, Jonathan Stilwell, George and Melissa Linneman, Brian and Melissa Linneman, Johnny Linneman, Kristina and Joe Greco, Melanie Linneman, Eric and Shianne Linneman, Jimmy and Kristen Linneman, Blane and Ryan Thorton, Ethan Young, Keelan Young, Annabel and Jake Gilliam, Avery Casteel, Elly Casteel, Wes Wagner , Bo Wagner. Great nieces and nephews Karson McCarl, Kamrynn McCarl, Kruze McCarl, Madison McCarl, Kaiah McCarl, Brantley Nail, Stephen Duane Young, Jr, Lacey Lee Murray , Emmalyn Faith Praytor, Aryanna Jones, Samuel Jones, James Owen Thomas Sims, McKinley Linneman, Kiera Linneman, Jaydn Linneman, Khloe Linneman, Isabelle Greco, Joey Greco, Presley Thorthon, and Lynden Thorton. Her Aunt Jean Taylor, her “baby cousin” Riley Ryan, special friend Angie “Grangie” Shaw, and lifelong best friends Kathy and Matt Chandler, Ginger Griffith and Sharon Spurling along with many other friends and family. Connie grew up in Roebuck and attended Banks high school class of 1988 where she played the “marching piano” in the high school band. On the weekends, she could be found in Allgood spending time with her family in “the country” supporting her cousins who marched in the Oneonta High school band and going to Allgood Cumberland Presbyterian Church with her grandmother where she accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age. After high school she attended Wallace State Community College where she received an Associate’s Degree in General Studies and went on to the University of Alabama in Birmingham to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in 1995. She worked as a traveling COTA, which took her around the United States. She fell in love with New York where she moved to and met Tom “Hunny” Linneman whom she fell in love with and married in October of 2000. They moved back to Alabama to build their family, and together they had a daughter, Katie Sue Linneman, who was the love of their life together. When she was no longer able to work as a COTA due to health issues, she continued in the healthcare field as a private sitter. In the last few years, she worked with Shane Kelly and loved the time she spent with him and her coworkers. She attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and could be found in the nursery on Sunday mornings rocking “her babies”. She loved the Lord and wanted to share the good news of His saving grace and dreamt of having a campground ministry. The only thing Connie loved more than cooking was sharing it with her family and friends. Her banana pudding and potato salads were always the favorites at any gathering and peas and mac was a dish she learned, and perfected, from Tom and quickly became a favorite dish for those she loved and fed often. Her infectious laugh could be heard well before her beautiful face was seen. She will be missed on earth, but we know that she now dwells in the kingdom of God that and All Is Well with Her Soul. A celebration of Connie’s love of life will be held at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church located at 7500 Roper Rd, Trussville, AL 35173 on February 4, 2023 at 2 pm. Visitation with family and friends will begin at 1:30 in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Linneman Love fund C/O Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
