Charles Coker

Charles Edward (Eddie Bo) Coker, was peacefully called home, while being held by his wife and family, at UAB Hospital on February 22nd 2025. Eddie’s final act of love was an Honor Walk as he made the decision to help as many people as he could through Legacy Of Hope. Eddie was born 10/08/1971 into an athletic, sports loving family. Alongside his brothers, he played baseball and softball thru-out his childhood, into his adulthood and eventually passed the love of the sport on to his daughter, Kendal. Some of his family’s favorite memories will always be gathering to watch a Braves or Alabama Football game, with Eddie always the life of the party. He was also a valued, loyal, and loved member of W.C. Wright &;Son, who have always considered him to be a part of their family. Eddie met his soul-mate Angie Coker in 2015, and together they built a marriage and life that he hoped would serve as an example to their children of what true love looks like. He wanted to show them how to love and how they deserve to be loved. Eddie would tell you that, outside of his wife, his brothers, Tommy and Dennis, were his true best friends. They were inseparable and looked to each other in times of joy, troubles, and grief. With Eddie being the youngest, he always looked up to his older brothers, and sought guidance from them. Eddie was predeceased by his Father Tommy R Coker, Mother Nancy Rose Coker, and his 4 legged companion of 15 years, Scooter Coker. He is survived by his wife, Angie Coker; Children Brad (Emily) Coker, Kendal Coker, Nicole Cantrell; Brothers Tommy (Leslie) Coker, Dennis (Martie) Coker, and Justin Coker; and a long list of Aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved dearly A Celebration Of Life will be held for Eddie March 15th, 2025 at: South Storm Shelter – City Of Warrior 600 Hwy 31 Warrior, AL 35180 (TIME WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY FAMILY AT A LATER DATE) In addition to the entire staff in the UAB CPCC Unit, and St. Vincent’s CVICU unit, our family would like to personally recognize and thank 3 members of the St. Vincent CVICU team that took care of Eddie. Mary, Chloe, and Kaleigh. These 3 women went above and beyond to make sure Eddie was comfortable at all times, and did everything in their power to save his life. They also made sure his family was aware of every change, and able to spend every possible moment with him. We will forever hold a special place in our hearts for you.
